POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Licensed MFT/PsyD or LCSW Clinical Director leads and oversees the operation of assigned KidsFirst clinical therapeutic programs. The Licensed Clinical Director position is responsible for quality assurance of clinical services provided by all clinical staff, including licensed therapist, registered interns, and trainees. The Licensed Clinical Program Manager provides casework planning and other social worker, behavioral health or child development activities. The Licensed Clinical Director coordinates program group supervision, individual and program staff meetings, and provides direction and leadership in the agency’s child and family wellness strategy.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
· Provide direct supervision in the daily management of clinical treatment services to children and families. Develop and evaluate processes for clinical programs, coordination with non-clinical programs within the agency, and with the clinical staff, case manager(s), and community representation of the agency’s clinical programs as needed.
· Provide leadership through activities including goal-setting, prompt decision-making, and effective communication. Assist with personnel management, provide clinical supervision, direction, training, audit charts, review and approve client records, monthly reports and other documentation. Ensure clinical staff operates within their scope of expertise and works collaboratively with program managers.
· Develop key performance indicators to monitor clinical services and progress toward goals, assess staff learning needs and participate in development and delivery of training programs, workshops, or other activities as appropriate. Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer or other assigned Program Manager on performance evaluations of clinical staff and practicum students.
· Coordinate with the Chief Operating Officer or other assigned Program Manager to plan, develop, and implement outreach strategies to increase agency visibility, engage stakeholders, and cultivate relationships that advance the mission of KidsFirst and ensure programs are operating at capacity.
· Collect accurate data in a timely and consistent manner, evaluate program outcomes, recommend improvements and ensure timely submittal of reports to stakeholders. Monitor program functions to ensure compliance and consistency with all internal and external requirements, including grant requirements and government regulations.
Position Qualifications:
Education:
· Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, and Marriage Family Therapy, Social Work and/or other advanced counseling degree in behavioral science required.
· Experience in AMFT/PsyD or ACSW supervision (Required) LFMT/PsyD or LCSW with the BBS (Required) Must produce a copy of their degrees and licensure as required.
Experience:
· Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing direct clinical services to children and families.
· Demonstrated experience of understanding clinical issues, treatment programming and therapy modalities.
· Must have leadership, clinical supervision, administrative and managerial skills and experience.
· Must be able to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
· Excellent written communication, presentation, and analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner with all levels of clients, management, staff, volunteers, and families.
· Demonstrated success in networking to build creative and mutually beneficial relationships within the corporate, public, and nonprofit sectors.
Skills Required:

· Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a positive rapport with children, youth and teens and their parents; effectively communicate issues to families

· Ability to provide counseling to children, adolescents, and family sessions
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clinicians, non-clinicians, executive staff or the community
· Represent the agency to other agencies, community organizations or groups as assigned
· Demonstrate good organizational skills
· Perform Utilization Review responsibilities
· Ability to write reports and correspondence
· Ability to work an occasional evening as needed
· Ability to perform CPR and First Aid
· Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Outlook and MS Word
· Ability to pass TB Test, drug testing and background check/fingerprint clearances
· Ability to travel throughout the Sacramento – Sierra region, automobile, valid CA drivers license, proof of insurance, and good driving record required
· Other duties as assigned
