ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY for busy family law firm
Leavitt Law Firm is seeking to add an associate attorney to the firm. Leavitt Law Firm practices primarily family law.
Associate Attorney Job Description:
The Associate Attorney will work in conjunction with Leavitt Law Firm’s attorneys. Experience in family law is preferred. Leavitt Law Firm also has a growing appellate practice.
Initially, the Associate Attorney will assist the attorneys with pleadings, motions, discovery, and more on existing cases. After a probationary period, the Associate Attorney will be assigned as the primary attorney on certain cases.
Associate Attorney Job Duties:
- Writing motions in divorce, custody, and other family law matters.
- Preparing pleadings in divorce, custody, child support, and guardianship cases.
- Meet with clients.
- Attend court hearings, trials, and other proceedings.
- Write legal memos or correspondence to opposing counsel or clients.
- Tracking and billing your time.
- Must maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential.
- Be able to accept new and other reasonable responsibilities.
Associate Attorney Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have a juris doctor and be licensed by the State Bar of Nevada.
- Family law experience preferred (though not required).
- Must be self-motivated.
- The Associate Attorney must be able to complete their work under mostly unsupervised conditions. Questions and feedback are encouraged; however, the Associate Attorney will have little supervision and thus must be self-motivated.
- Excellent grammar, writing, and computer skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Must be comfortable with Apple/Mac products.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
