Accreditation
Certified Public Accountants, Certified Fraud Examiners, and Certified Government Financial Managers shall be considered additional qualifications for the position.

$41,000+ depending on experience and accreditation
Location
Audit Inspector positions are available throughout the state of West Virginia. Our auditors are headquartered from their homes and travel daily to local government locations to perform audits.
Job Description
The WVSAO's Audit Inspector position offers a meaningful and rewarding opportunity for accounting majors. Audit Inspectors work on-site at various local government locations to conduct audits in accordance with professional standards and OMB requirements. Our auditors perform all stages of the audit from planning to the audit report. All job-related travel is in-state with some overnight stays required. Lodging expenses and a daily meal per diem is provided with overnight stays. Auditors also receive mileage reimbursement for travel.
