Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing. This role plays a crucial part in patient care and requires attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture to collect blood specimens
- Label vials accurately and maintain patient records
- Follow proper laboratory procedures for specimen handling
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during blood collection
- Verify patient information and maintain confidentiality
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Certification in Phlebotomy
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques and aseptic procedures
- Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and laboratory techniques
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to interact compassionately
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and specimen processing
