Route Sales Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Drive a designated route sampling, selling and installing aftermarket automotive accessories (I.e. grilles, mirror covers, wheel covers, door handles, etc.).
- Prospect and contact potential customers to solicit new business opportunities.
- Provide a high level of customer service and resolve customer issues quickly.
- Exceptional product knowledge and demonstration ability required.
- Write invoices on-site, get written approval of sale and purchase order.
- Compile paperwork at the end of each day and drop at office.
- Ensure company vehicle is kept in proper working condition, clean and organized.
- Reload inventory daily.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed.
- Learn company policies and procedures and work within them at all times
Qualifications:
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for the past 3 years.
- Able to drive an 18-20 foot box van provided by the company (no CDL required).
- Previous experience in sales and customer service.
- Knowledge of automotive business a plus.
- Able to work outdoors in inclement weather (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
- Willing to service areas that require an overnight stay.
- Will relocate if required.
- Team player as well as ability to work independently.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Punctual, enthusiastic, and aggressive.
