Responsibilities (What you will be doing)
- Responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of Company operated aircraft and articles as assigned in accordance with Air Methods’ policies and procedures;
- Responsible for company tools and assets while traveling between job sites;
- Responsible for ensuring scheduled maintenance is performed in a timely manner, producing detailed reports of scheduled maintenance;
- Responsible for responding to unscheduled maintenance, as needed;
- Responsible for identifying and performing repairs expeditiously;
- Responsible for identifying potential safety or maintenance concerns to be addressed, with an ability to appropriately prioritize repairs and maintenance recommendations and action;
- Responsible for communicating with the Director of Maintenance, colleagues, and/or Manufacturers throughout the course of work to ensure regulations and standards are met;
- Ensuring all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable FAA Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals;
- Actively participates in the continuous improvement of the company’s Safety Management program, and keeps all logs and records in accordance with Safety and Compliance standards;
- Responsible for advising the Pilot in Command (PIC) of any maintenance issues that would take an aircraft out of service;
- Request aviation parts and supplies in order to maintain an adequate and orderly inventory of all stock items to ensure prompt repairs for operational readiness;
- Proficient in implementing mechanical repairs of any size/scope relative to MD500/530 equipment;
- Meets or works towards deadlines with diligence and good communication without sacrificing safety or quality of work;
- Maintains work areas in a clean and proficient manner.

Qualifications (What you bring to the table)
- 2-5 years experience as an A&P Mechanic
- Willingness to travel (this position requires frequent travel for extended periods of time)
- MD Helicopter Experience
- A&P Certificate
- Inspection Authorized (IA) preferred

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
