What You’ll Do:
The Rehab Specialist will manage patient workflow at any appointed client's clinics. You will interact with patients and providers, assign plans of care, monitor patients, modify home programs, and assist with therapist interactions. There is also an administrative aspect to this role. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Independence in managing daily tasks and schedule.
- Confidence in updating/progressing plans of care when appropriate.
- Complete patient setup once registration is complete.
- Interface with Physical Therapists to understand the assignment and updates of plans of care.
- Make notes in the patient record for all interaction types.
- Ensure interactions happen on a timely basis.
- Ensure patients are compliant; if there are technical issues, liaise with the technical support group for swift resolution.
- When billing criteria are met, assist with documenting patient records.
- Assist with EMR related tasks.
- Deactivate patients when plans of care are complete.
- Collect feedback from patients and providers for continuous improvement and record in ticketing system.
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward patients and providers.
- Respond promptly to patient and provider inquiries.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about orthopedics, and the future of virtual physical therapy. This individual should be motivated, adaptable, and have experience within the physical therapy domain. Required attributes listed below, but are not limited to:
- Compact Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure (Oregon, Texas, Ohio); Additional Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure (Alaska, California, Florida); other state licensures may be required for future clients
- Orthopedic background
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Composure and positivity when dealing with upset/difficult patients.
- Tech savvy, strong internet connection, professional workspace.
- Ability to offer basic technical support when appropriate.
- Ability to maintain clinical and administrative tasks simultaneously.
