SCOPE: This full-time position has a significant impact on the quality and effectiveness of the organization's financial and human resources processes. Key responsibilities will include accounts payable, human resources communications, and special projects. The work focus will be finance responsibilities (60%) then human resources (40%). The candidate must have the ability to work as a team member to ensure that others have the tools and knowledge required to make financial, operational and human capital decisions. The candidate must have effective communication skills with all levels of management and be able to work with cross-functional teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or undergraduate working toward a business degree
- 2 – 4 years of work experience in related fields
- Cooperative team player with proactive communication style
- Strong organizational and process improvement skills
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to organize, manage and prioritize work for self; able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Experience with payroll preferred, specifically ADP or UKG
RESPONSIBILITIES BY DEPARTMENT
Finance (60%)
- Assure timely and accurate accrual entries for proper revenue and expense recognition
- Balance sheet account reconciliations with independent documentation to support balances
- Financial statement preparation, explaining variances against budget and prior periods
- Assist with audit-related supporting documents and information requests
- Review of purchased material price variance, and updating of purchase standard costs
- Review of manufacturing variances to update material yields and product structure integrity
- Evaluation of manufacturing routing times and direct labor time efficiency by process
- Development of direct labor and manufacturing overhead cost rates by department
- Revaluation of gross inventory standard costs, and analysis of excess and obsolete inventory
- Develop techniques and procedures with a focus on automation and digitization
- Identify creative means to gain efficiencies within our existing processes
Human Resources (40%)
- Responsible for weekly payroll processing
- Responsible for Company Events
- Manage full cycle recruiting for hourly/entry level positions
- Manage temporary workforce, including working with temporary agencies and ensuring time sheets are gathered and sent in timely manner
- Maintain training/skills matrix
