PRO-SHOP/CART BARN ATTENDANT

JOB DESCRIPTION:
St. James Bay Golf & Pickleball Resort is looking for a customer service forward, team oriented and motivated individual to join our golf operations department. This is a hybrid position for pro-shop and cart barn attendant. The optimal employee will be willing to step into either position as needed by the resort. Some shifts may be dedicated solely to one of the two positions whereas other shifts may be split shifts. Qualified candidates will promote a positive image of the resort to guests while providing excellent customer service. The ideal applicant is a team player, extremely flexible, trustworthy, and shows up to work every day with an ambitious attitude.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Deliver carts from the cart barn to the daily staging area
· Ensure that all golf carts are clean, safe, and properly prepared with full sand bin, pencil and scorecard
· Track inventory of all rental clubs and sets and keep in order
· Manage the flow of carts in and out of the barn
· Report any issues or problems with golf carts to management
· Ensure cart barn is clean and organized at all times
· Collect and dispose of trash from carts and course
· Pick up golf balls from driving range
· Clean range balls and verify that ball machine is always stocked
· Fuel carts
· Return coolers to restaurant
· Ensure that all golfers follow club rules including dress code along with food & beverage policies
· Greet guests and provide customer service with ability to answer any questions in pertinence to the resort
· Manages guests check-in, collect payments, book tee times
· Accurately reconcile daily cash reports
· Follows procedures and protocols for proper opening and closing of the pro-shop
· Maintain professional demeanor and establish positive relationships with members and guests
· May be required to work early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays
· Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job
· Follows safety policies and practices, works in a safe manner, and reports unsafe activity and conditions
· Performs others duties as required by the resort as a whole
SUPERVISION:
Reports directly to the Club Manager and General Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Knowledge of golf rules & etiquette preferred; willing to train the right individual
· Customer service experience required
· Computer skills preferred
· Organizational skills
· Cash-handling procedures
· Keep and maintain accurate records
· Adapt to changing work priorities
· Promote and encourage cooperative efforts and communicate effectively
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 40 per week
