JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
The Activities Assistant is responsible implementing recreational groups and programs which meet the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of the residents at Bel Air Assisted Living during afternoon, evening, and weekend times as needed. This is an as needed position only - hours are not guaranteed.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The Activities Coordinator reports to the Management team at Bel Air Assisted Living.
- The Activities Coordinator works as an active team member providing support to residents which may include assistance with activities of daily living.
- The Activities Coordinator will help to maintain an organized, sanitary program environment, and ensure that daily supplies for programs and activities are maintained and organized.
- PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- All essential job responsibilities will be executed in accordance with Bel Air Assisted Living’s policies and compliance/ethics guidelines.
- Develop groups and programs in consideration of the needs, abilities, and interests of the residents of Bel Air Assisted Living.
- Provision of programs shall offer a variety of formats including small group, one on one, and large group and take into consideration the multigenerational population in the program.
- Research new ideas for programs and activities, taking into consideration participants’ suggestions.
- Initiate and plan the monthly activities calendar as well as communicate effectively with Resident Assistants to initiate daily programs and activities.
- Assist with transporting and/or escorting program participants to, from and within the program as needed.
- The Activities Coordinator will be a part of the development of service plans for each resident.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
