Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to join our team. As the Pharmacist in Charge, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy department and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients. Your expertise and leadership will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Duties:
- Provide pharmaceutical care by dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Review medication orders for appropriateness, drug interactions, and contraindications
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and monitoring stock levels
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Train and supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and interns
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and medication management processes
- Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and precautions
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Current pharmacist license in [state]
