Duties
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, taking X-rays, and applying fluoride treatments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide recommendations for at-home care
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as necessary
- Follow proper infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Use dental software systems such as Dentrix to schedule appointments and manage patient information
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient care
Requirements:
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options
- Proficiency in medical coding and billing procedures
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection
- Experience using dental software systems such as Dentrix
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health practices
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
