Mazak Jumbo Tube Machinist

Ohio Laser LLC is looking to hire a talented Mazak Jumbo Tube Machinist.
Duties:
Set up and operation of Mazak Jumbo Tube Laser using advanced machine parameters, material identification to facilitate selecting and transport from storage to machine, properly identify left over raw material for return to inventory location and proper disposal of scrap. First Piece Article inspections and documentation of part dimensions per engineering drawings and specifications. Input of time, material, quantity produced into manufacturing software and perform and document routine maintenance on machine as directed. You will also need an understanding of the company quality program and be able to aid management in scheduling workload to save time.
Additional duties would include keeping machine and work area clean, neat and orderly, running secondary operations on other machines when required or time allows, de- tab or de-burr parts with grinders and sanders, train other employees in the requirements of the position, report discrepancies to immediate supervisor, wear safety equipment and follow all safety rules and procedures as required and directed and other duties maybe required as assigned.
Skills:
The ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Knowledge of both metric and inch measuring systems and ability to use and care for precision measuring equipment and tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other tools and gauges.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic math and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Knowledge of manufacturing software, Windows software and CNC software and NC code.
Ability to operate a lift truck, and a 10 Ton remote-controlled crane for loading and unloading materials.
Good attendance, dependability and work ethic are valued above other skills.
Education/Training:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
