Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Document Control Clerk to join our team. As a Document Control Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all company documents. You will ensure that documents are accurately filed, easily accessible, and comply with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the document control process, including the creation, revision, distribution, and archiving of documents
- Maintain and update document management systems to ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files, ensuring proper version control and document security
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary documentation for audits or inspections
- Perform quality checks on documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to formatting guidelines
- Assist in the development and implementation of document control procedures
- Provide training to employees on document control processes and systems
- Support technical writing efforts by proofreading and editing documents for clarity, grammar, and spelling
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and scanning
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in records management or related field is a plus
- Proven experience in document management or related role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in using document management systems and software
- Excellent attention to detail with strong proofreading skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
