Field Service – Commercial Kitchen Technician
Overview
Perform all maintenance, service and repair functions on kitchen equipment under the direction of the Service Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance, such as troubleshooting, and repair on commercial kitchen equipment.
- Provide technical support to customers on proper use of equipment.
- Maintain a safe work environment. Adhere to all company, federal and state safety regulations.
- Operate company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner. Maintains service vehicle according to Company policy. Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Provide an effective, professional and visible external selling image for Acme to include:
- Uniform wearing – clean clothing, proper steel toed shoes
- Clean and organized van, inside and out. Van stocked with proper tools, product, etc.
- Professional personal communications
- Willingness and ability to be involved with emergency, on-call weekend rotation.
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years of experience with refrigeration appliance repair and kitchen equipment. Walk-in boxes and ice cream machine experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant technical training and or certifications (i.e. EPP, CFESA)
- Commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment repair experience.

- Proficient with tools and demonstrated ability to repair equipment.
- Able to read and follow a map.
- Able to manage the details of van inventory maintenance and replenishment.
- Ability to read and interpret machine schematic drawings.
- Basic electrical knowledge
Work Remotely
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
