Maintenance Technician -
Maintenance Technician Job Summary:
Maintenance Technician will be responsible, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, for the overall maintenance of the apartment community and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations of the community.
Responsibilities include:
- Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors
- Make ready units for new move-ins
- Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems
- Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance on an on-call basis
- Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program
- Complete grounds work such as: grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping
- Complies with Signature Management’s safety and risk-management policies by attending and participating in the property’s routine safety meetings, completing required training on OSHA and other safety related laws and requirements, and by reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience or knowledge and skills
- Pool Certification a plus
- Strong knowledge of A/C, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
- Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with the ability to stand for long lengths of time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
