We are currently seeking an Administrative/Medical Assistant with experience in a busy clinic and who can establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of patients, clients and colleagues. In this position you will work on an administrative team that includes the front-office staff; prescribers and clinicians. The ideal candidate will be friendly, outgoing and a strong listener. This position has the opportunity to obtain a Certified Medical Assistant Certificate.
Responsibilities:
- Checking clients in/out for their appointments, collect co-pays and balance due
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Call clients to remind them of their upcoming appointment
- File client charts, notes, etc
- Working with clients to take vital signs
- Scribing for psych providers,
- Assisting in obtaining prior authorizations for medications
- Chart monitoring,
- Working directly with psych providers to provide support to clients
- Assist patients with understanding and processing financial records, insurance forms, etc.
Requirements/Experience
- High school diploma required
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Must be a self-starter with ability to work independently while also working as a team
- Experience with an electronic health records program a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
