We are looking for qualified Teachers to join our growing preschool. Positions are open in both preschool and pre-k.
An Experienced Teacher must have a great love and patience for children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. This Teacher is also a leader in their department, helping to elevate the play-based curriculum implemented in each of the classrooms and provide training to department peers.
Responsibilities:
- Follow a careful and creative program suitable for the age group
- Work in conjunction with the Education Director to ensure children are learning appropriately
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
- Create new and exciting ways to engage classroom of students
- Encourage children to interact with each other in a positive manner
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (literacy, mathematics, science, fine motor, social emotional, etc.)
- Train fellow teachers in your department in curriculum, student engagement, and positive discipline
- Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
- Collaborate with other educators
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
