About The Role:
We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to assist with social media and content creation tasks. While the role is primarily remote, occasional on-site presence in the Charlottesville or Harrisonburg area may be needed for content creation for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with creating content, write engaging captions aligned with our clients’ brand and audience, research, and execute on content ideas.
- Edit content using Capcut, Adobe Lightroom, or similar tools.
- Stay informed about social media trends.
- Organize and select footage for social media posts.
- Communicate and collaborate with the owner via Google Meet, email, and project management tools such as Trello/Notion.
- Assist with scheduling content via Metricool or other social scheduling apps.
- Be available for occasional on-site iPhone content creation sessions as needed in the Charlottesville or Harrisonburg area.
- Other miscellaneous social media-related tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Must be located in the Charlottesville or Harrisonburg area.
- Ability to meet deadlines and consistently deliver quality, creative work.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Trustworthy and reliable.
- Strong grammar and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Instagram and Meta Business Suite, with a good understanding of their features and best practices.
- Willingness to collaborate and revise content.
- Ability to adapt to evolving social media trends and adjust content strategies accordingly.
- Proficiency with Canva.
- Understanding of branding and its relevance to social media and business strategies.
