Summary: Six Flags Over Georgia is seeking a qualified Electronics/Animations Technician. This position is responsible for the inspection, repair and upkeep of various electronic components, mechanical systems and amusement rides.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance rehab, repair, inspection and troubleshooting of animatronic rides, displays and exhibits to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
Perform the ride inspection programs in accordance with the standards set by Six Flags, Ride Manufacturers, ASTM and the State of Georgia
Perform daily inspections, maintenance and repairs of rides/attractions/exhibits and notify management of any/all hazards that may endanger guests or employees.
Diagnose, repair, maintain and install pneumatic, hydraulic and servo systems.
Diagnose, repair, maintain and install audio/visual equipment.
Diagnose, repair and maintain industrial control systems.
Test faulty electronic equipment and execute repairs.
Fabricate, install and maintain animatronics.
Painting, coating and repair of animatronic figures.
Respond to work orders and conduct mechanical repairs as required to maintain safe park operation.
Adhere to park policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned
Pay Range: $27.96-37.28 per hour (depending on level of experience). Work in excess of 40 hours per week is paid at 1.5x standard pay rate.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with industrial controls, PLC’s, animatronics, arcade games, audio/visual systems, control boards and basic mechanical systems
- Experience with basic machine work and welding
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to professionally interact with other shops and various departments.
- Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers and park management.
- Ability to write, speak and comprehend English.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting, bending, standing for long periods of time, climbing, and working at heights up to 200 ft.
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
- Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Valid Drivers’ License and clean DMV report.
- Employees are required to supply their own hand tool
