Job Summary:
We are a privately owned outpatient physical therapy clinic seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will work with adult and geriatric patients primarily performing complete decongestive therapy on patients with lymphedema, including manual lymphatic drainage, skin care and some wound care. The candidate will also help them improve their mobility, manage pain, and regain independence.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' medical history and perform physical examinations to determine the best course of treatment.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals.
- Perform complete decongestive therapy on patients with lymphedema, including manual lymphatic drainage, skin care and some wound care.
- Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for injury prevention and self-care.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Qualifications:
- Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience working with adults and geriatrics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
