Job Overview:
Lavelle's Bistro is a busy, high-end restaurant in the heart of downtown Fairbanks. Specializing in hand-cut steaks and fresh Alaskan seafood, we strive to provide the highest quality dining experience for visitors looking to see the best Fairbanks has to offer as well as a loyal customer base of locals. We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping
- Assist in cooking and preparing various menu items
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment preferred, but not necessary
- Knowledge of food handling and food safety procedures
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in meal preparation and following recipes accurately
- Understanding of basic dietary requirements

Salary depending on experience. Base pay is $20/hour with frequent opportunities for advancement and pay increase. Experienced applicants eligible for a higher starting wage.
