Private Cello Instructor
San Marino Music Center is currently hiring for a cello instructor to add to our roster. The candidate will start as a substitute to fill in for when our current cello teacher is out. Over time, the instructor can expect to have their own day and set of students. The availability we are looking for is one of the following options:
Thursdays between 3-8 pm
Saturday between 9 am-1 pm
Candidates who are also capable of teaching other string instruments will be given strong consideration.
We are looking for instructors who are available to teach in-person, have experience teaching online through Zoom meeting and are fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Educators must hold a music degree and should have a minimum of two years teaching experience on their instruments. Experience teaching students aged 5-7 yrs old is a big plus.
For the position, we are interested in teachers who are accustomed to teaching out of method books such as Suzuki, Essential Elements, All For Strings, Introducing the Positions and others. Supplemental material assigned is at the discretion of the teacher subject to the availability of books in stock at the Music Center.
If you qualify for the position, please forward a copy of your resume. If you have applied or interviewed with us before, please do not resend your resume as we already have it on file.
Educators who have worked at San Marino Music Center will regard our facility as organized, well-run and a friendly/supportive environment. Our students are well educated and well behaved kids. Instructors are not tasked at handling student schedules, so all they need to focus on is teaching. If you apply and are hired, you will enjoy your time working for us.
Thank you.
