What are we looking for?
- Experience as a HVAC supervisor/superintendent on new construction
- Large-scale residential or commercial/multifamily experience.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Installing HVAC units in new construction, residential settings
- Experience with managing subcontractors as well as maintaining relationship with GC and internal customers.
- Good communications skills in English. Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus.
- Good organizational skills and technically savvy (computer skills, being able to use/learn ProCore, eSub, and other software for bids, submittals, etc.)
- Experienced in planning and coordinating of crews with tasks to be performed, and monitoring performance.
- Key communication point for their job with Project Manager, Area Manager, HR, Safety, Sub-contractors, and other key partners.
- Ability to read and comprehend construction blueprints
- Knowledge of HVAC duct configurations and airflow impact
- Understands submittal data and related construction documents
- Understands equipment installation and operations manuals
- Experienced with sheet metal, duct board and flexible duct systems
- Knowledge of HVAC start up procedures and troubleshooting
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems in multi-family new construction projects, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and quality standards.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam to track project progress, manage budgets, and coordinate with subcontractors.
- Lead a team of workers, providing supervision and guidance to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects.
- Manage construction contracts, including reviewing terms, negotiating agreements, and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide the installation of ductwork and other HVAC components.
- Estimate construction costs, monitor project budgets, and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
- Implement quality control measures to guarantee the performance and longevity of HVAC systems.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills to coordinate project tasks, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Communicate effectively with bilingual team members and stakeholders, utilizing both English and Spanish language skills.
- Possess a valid driver's license to travel to project sites and oversee on-site activities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
