SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor, the Logistics Driver will perform daily local deliveries and pick-ups to various locations to support internal and external customers. The Logistics Driver will also be responsible for the safety and proper transportation of in-house and customer materials such as orders, donations, mail and laundry in their custody (i.e. proper stacking, wrapping, labeling, physical movement of materials/loading and unloading while driving and load planning). This position will also be responsible for the safe transportation of team members and individuals for field trips or daily outings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately complete pre-and-post shift inspection and preventative maintenance logs for assigned vehicle.
- Assist with the loading of company vehicles; adhere to all safety requirements including proper lifting techniques, use of dollies, lift gates, use of seat belts and other equipment when moving material.
- Based on contractual requirements and direction of Opportunity Village management, maintain the highest degree of security and control of customer confidential material collection.
- Ensure the safe transportation to and from assigned daily trips for team members and individuals served.
- Ensure the condition of the load and that it is securely fastened.
- Assists in obtaining accurate inventory counts of goods stored on company property as well as performing inventory counts.
- Follow the correct safety procedures when goods are being transported.
- Responsible for accurate and legible completion of all documents (i.e. service tickets, delivery tickets and customer documentation).
- Check all documentation related to the goods being transported by truck or van.
- Drives a truck or van to make deliveries or pick-ups.
- Prepares goods for transport and storage.
- Assists in the organization of goods stored in the warehouse.
- Communicate route variable with manager (i.e. heavy traffic conditions, lag time with dock availability, lag time with customer specific needs and requests, etc.)
- Maintain clean and swept vehicle.
- Assists in cleaning yard and dock space as needed.
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
- May be assigned other duties as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not directly supervise others.
