We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, capable of taking complex designs from ideation to production. Requirements:
- 5 years experience working in product design
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Responsibilities
- Design printer components and subsystems through all development phases including: ideation, design, prototype, validation, production, and support
- Release parts, BOMs, and drawings while ensuring CAD models are accurate
- Develop and execute test plans ranging from form/fit/function, shock and vibration, environmental, and reliability/lifetime testing
- Provide solutions to production problems related to product design or documentation
- Work with vendors to resolve quality issues
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience developing printers & printing products
- Demonstrate strong communication and organization skills
- Proficiency with 3D solid modeling CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
- Working knowledge of various manufacturing processes which include machining, injection molding, plastic design, die casting, thermo-forming, and sheet metal
- Good understanding of materials and the selection process
- Good cross-function team skills (meeting preparation & participation, proactive communication, and follow up)
- Must possess a high level of time management skills and attention to detail and sense for quality
- Able to study complex problems and quickly develop several viable solutions
- Ability to set up Design of Experiments to solve multi-variable problems

Salary Range: $76,000-90,000 DOE
Schedule: M-F, no nights or weekends
