Caregivers deliver essential basic childcare and supervision to children residing at Valley Haven while embracing and upholding our mission and values. Caregivers must be effective in problem-solving and decision-making skills. While having flexibility, reliability, patience, and being self-motivated. Caregivers also need the ability to thrive in a continually changing environment and to demonstrate professionalism, interpersonal skills, and have strong written and oral communication skills.
Qualifications:
- 21 years old or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass criminal history and child maltreatment background checks.
- Must submit a pre-employment drug screen as well as random drug screens when directed.
Responsibilities:

- Maturity to treat children with dignity and respect at all times, in all circumstances.
- Mature judgement and an ability to act in a n independent, responsible manner in all matters relating to the care and safety of the children.
- Ability to engage and effectively communicate with persons from diverse cultures and communities, as well as from different groups, including children, colleagues, support staff members, supervisors, & administrators.
- Care and Supervision for children ranging from birth to 17.
- Provision of Material, Physical, Spiritual, Emotional, and Disciplinary Needs.
- Transportation for children in our care to allappropriate facilities, to include medical/health & welfare appointments.'
