Dental Assistant
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patients by sterilizing and arranging instruments
- Take dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate needed appointments with front desk for scheduling
-Make temporary crowns and bite guards
-Process and organize digital photographs using Photoshop
-Digital intraoral scanning using Trios scanner
Requirements:
- Aseptic technique: Knowledge and practice of infection control protocols
- Experience in pediatrics: Comfortable working with children and providing specialized care for pediatric patients
- Medical records management: Familiarity with maintaining accurate and confidential medical records
- Anatomy knowledge: Understanding of oral anatomy and dental terminology
- Dental assisting skills: Proficiency in assisting with various dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, and periodontal treatments
- HIPAA compliance: Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Medical documentation: Proficient in documenting patient information accurately and efficiently
