Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and professional Funeral Director to join our team. As a Funeral Director, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to grieving families during their time of loss. You will oversee all aspects of funeral services and ensure that each service is conducted with dignity and respect.
Duties:
- Coordinate and arrange funeral services, including visitations, memorial services, and burials
- Meet with families to discuss funeral arrangements and provide guidance on available options
- Prepare the deceased for viewing, including embalming, dressing, and cosmetology
- Arrange transportation of the deceased to the funeral home or cemetery
- Assist families in selecting caskets, urns, and other funeral merchandise
- Coordinate with clergy, musicians, and other service providers to ensure a smooth service
- Oversee the setup of the chapel or viewing area for visitations and services
- Provide bereavement support to grieving families
- Handle administrative tasks such as preparing death certificates and obtaining necessary permits
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mortuary Science
- Embalmers License preferred
- Valid Funeral Director license required
- Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
- Proficient in event planning and organization
- Knowledge of funeral directing practices and procedures
- Ability to lift heavy objects (caskets) and perform physical tasks as required

- Sanitate: Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of facilities and equipment
- Event planning: Organize funeral services and related events
- Funeral directing: Oversee all aspects of funeral services
