Great opportunity for an associate dentist to join our incredible dental team, full-time! We are a dynamic large private practice in Northern Michigan (near Traverse City) with experienced staff and doctors who focus on providing an exceptional patient experience. Our office offers all phases of dentistry to include endodontics, periodontics, implants, IV sedation and oral surgery. Experienced staff willing to mentor the right individual to achieve a million dollars in production.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our team. As a Dentist, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern dental practice and make a positive impact on the oral health of our community.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine dental examinations, including oral cancer screenings and x-rays
- Diagnose and treat various dental conditions, such as cavities, gum disease, and tooth decay
- Create treatment plans and discuss them with patients, ensuring they understand their options and the associated costs
- Administer anesthetics and perform dental procedures, such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and crown placements
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide preventive care instructions
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other staff members to ensure efficient patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development
Experience:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license in good standing
- Proven experience as a Dentist with proficiency in performing general dentistry procedures
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, patient assessment techniques, medical terminology, and pediatric dentistry
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar practice management software
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain strict adherence to patient privacy guidelines
- Proficient in aseptic technique to ensure infection control protocols are followed
