Introducing the Role:
Founded in 2023 in Miami, FL, Base is a tech-powered membership club revolutionizing how our members think about their social lives. As we expand to our second city, Chicago, IL, we are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to take on the role of General Manager. As part of our team, you'll manage numerous member experiences and dinner events at various venues and restaurant partners throughout the city each month, ensuring that every member's experience is exceptional and memorable.
Responsibilities
Event Planning and Execution:
Coordinate and manage multiple dinner events at partner restaurants throughout the city, adhering to Base's standards of excellence.
Collaborate closely with restaurant partners to plan menus, seating arrangements, and any special requirements for each event.
Oversee the execution of each dinner event, ensuring smooth operations and high guest satisfaction.
Partner Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with restaurant partners, representing Base professionally and fostering mutual trust and respect.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with partners to establish clear expectations and terms for collaboration.
Address any concerns or issues raised by restaurant partners promptly and effectively, striving to maintain positive partnerships.
Team Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise event staff, including servers, cleaners, hosts, and coordinators, to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional service.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to staff members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback to help team members grow and succeed.
Customer Experience:
Champion the Base brand and ensure that all dinner events and experiences meet or exceed the expectations of our members.
Solicit feedback from club members and use insights to continually enhance the dining experience and exceed expectations.
Handle member inquiries, feedback, and complaints with empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to resolution.
Logistics and Operations:
Oversee the logistical aspects of each dinner event, including transportation, seating arrangements, dietary restrictions, and special accommodations.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure all necessary materials and equipment are secured for each event.
Manage the budget for each dinner event, monitoring expenses and optimizing resources to achieve financial targets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience in event planning and hospitality management, with a track record of success in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-centric approach to service delivery.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Familiarity with the local dining scene and existing relationships with restaurants in Chicago are advantageous.
