Cutting Edge Pediatric and Adult Therapy is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to help behavioral support to meet the client's diagnosis and to help develop a collaborative program that lines up with our current collaborative care model.

Cutting Edge Pediatric and Adult Therapy offers ST, OT, PT, ABA, and counseling for patients, ages birth-30, in a highly collaborative and fun, sensory-focused setting. Therapists can easily incorporate movement and sensory activities into treatment sessions, using our engaging therapy gyms, sensory light room, and on our playground. Key Responsibilities
- Providing counseling/talk therapy to scheduled patients and/or their families utilizing professional counseling standards.
- Consulting with client physician or psychologist and other providers regarding complex patients and regarding prescription medications prescribed by providers.
- Providing written document of counseling sessions, assessments, interventions, and recommendations for providers and to meet requirements for medical records documentation.
- Providing in-service training on relevant topics for co-workers as requested.
- Maintaining and updating professional knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings, workshops and serving on special committees.
- Skills in providing professional counseling/talk therapy according to established standards of care; excellent customer service and support skills.
- Ability to successfully counsel patients/families for improved mental and behavioral health.
- Work as an effective team member; function independently, exercise sound judgment and initiative.
- Be available to accept new assignments as needed.
- Establish and maintain effective interpersonal work relationships, to effectively therapy staff; to work toward goals and objectives of the established evaluating therapist plan.
Required Administrative Skills
- Demonstrates creativity, flexibility and the ability to prioritize and problem-solve.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to shape communications to the needs of the audience.
- Knowledgeable of HIPAA, state and federal regulations governing confidentiality, release of information (ROI) and record retention.
Professional Qualifications
- Qualified candidates will have a Master's degree in Counseling and licensed as a License Professional Counselor (LPC). Will also have excellent assessment and clinical skills.
- Services to include treatment of depression, anxiety, crisis intervention, mood, attention and behavioral issues.
- Minimum of one year of experience in professional counseling to special needs clients and their families ranging from pediatric to young adulthood.
Physical Requirements
- Duties require extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Requires lifting, positioning, and/or transferring clients, including the ability to participate in physical activities and play-based therapies.
- May be required to lift up to a minimum of 50 pounds.

Salary Information
