Systems for Public Safety, Inc. is a Ford QVM automotive "up-fitter" and maintenance facility dedicated to serving police and fire fleets. We upfit vehicles for cities and counties all over Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Alaska. We also complete vehicle maintenance and repair on emergency vehicles for our local cities and precincts.
We are looking for someone to join the Collision Division, our body shop as an Auto Body Technician. We are opening a body shop to service our current law enforcement customers and exclusively do autobody repair on law enforcement vehicles. This is a new portion of our business but with established customers.
This is a person who loves a challenge and being a part of a team. We are looking for someone who is organized, open to learning new skills and knowledge, and can work in a fast paced environment. We are currently offering hourly pay while we are establishing our facility and set up with the potential for commission once we are fully operational.
The Auto Body Tech is responsible for:
- Tear down of vehicles prior to repair and remove damaged parts
- Communicate with estimator regarding additional damage, if present
- Repair autobody damage per written estimate
- Reassemble vehicle
- Ensure vehicle is repaired to SPS standards
Requirements:
- Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in autobody
- Experience in frame straightening preferred
- Experience with glass removal preferred
- I-car and ASE certifications are preferred
- Additional experience in the automotive or related field is a plus
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds
- Pre employment drug screening and background check required by contractual obligation, services provided by company. Not an automatic disqualification.
- Must be comfortable working with and around Law Enforcement officers and other first responders
Hours:
- Monday through Thursday 6am to 4:30pm
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday off
Benefits:
