Job Description - Tax Compliance Specialist
This is a remote position — if you are selected, we will fly you to our company headquarters in Irvine, California for a few days of paid training.

The Job
A key part of our work is using client forms to gather information from the IRS. Often, these forms contain errors that require us to call the IRS and clients to confirm and correct details. You will be on the phone most of the day with the IRS, updating forms and making sure all the information is correct so cases can move forward. This is a vital role in the company that requires extreme attention to detail and meticulousness.

Job Responsibilities
- Receiving, organizing, and recording files for clients and client records, etc.
- Entering data and files into software applications and databases
- Reviewing data entry for accuracy
- Functioning in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
- Following script and guidelines on each and every phone call
- High volume of outbound calls to the IRS and other entities
- Utilizing technical systems, effectively and efficiently, including desktop, call center specific phone systems, fax, and internet.
Job Skills/Requirements
- Exceptional organization skills to keep accurate records and find important information quickly
- Patience and listening skills to respond appropriately and interact positively
- Detail-oriented and ability to multitask while being on the phone
- Excellent computer skills, data entry and word processing
- Ability to perform digital filing and record-keeping tasks
- Regular phone communications with IRS
- Professional phone etiquette
- Basic income tax knowledge including business entities & filing requirements
- IRS Centralized Authorization File (CAF) number (preferred, but not required)
- IRS Secure Object Repository (SOR) mailbox (preferred, but not required)
- Remote work experience (preferred, but not required)

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
