Basic Purpose of Position
Maintain plant equipment in accordance with best practices and PM program.
Essential Functions of Position
- Responsible for making mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs among others
- Ability to have systematic troubleshooting ability in the above areas
- Ability and experience as Industrial Electrician with 3-phase, 480V and industrial troubleshooting to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand, power and precision measuring tools
- Ability to diagnose malfunctioning systems, locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
- Responsible for connection of wires to circuit breakers, transformers and other components
- Ability to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures
- Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the country, state and federal levels
- Perform rigging activities, safety-related functions and other miscellaneous electrical functions
- Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power)
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge
- Competent with programming of VFD’s
- Demonstrate ability to obtain forklift certification and/or safely utilize a forklift and high lift
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLC’s
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and the ability to repair
- Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures
- Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
- Perform installation and maintenance work as part of a team of skilled trade workers
- Perform duties in a work environment that will be hot, cold, dirty and fast-paced
- Self-starter yet able to take orders as directed
- Ability to read machine prints and repair equipment, i.e. electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics, etc
- Follow lock out/tag out procedure and all other safety procedures
- Experience in or ability to learn how to relocate equipment
- Ability to learn machine assemble/set-up
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure machine uptime and availability
- Welding a plus
- Ability to be trained on a work order software system
- Able to communicate verbally and written with co-workers and supervisor
- Must provide own basic hand tools
- Must observe and follow all safety regulations with required PPE
- All other duties as assigned
2nd shift premium base rate + $1.25/hour

Pay: $24.10 - $26.71 per hour
