As the manager of the Tax Department, you are responsible for the quality of the returns, client satisfaction, and the development of your team. We are looking for someone who has experience in managing clients and people who can elevate everyone on the team.

Salary Range: $110K - $150K
This position is bonus-eligible
Location: Hybrid (Methuen, MA)
Areas of Responsibility
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize client's tax liability
- Final tax return reviews and signing returns
- Consult with clients on tax-related matters
- Mentor and Develop your team
- Improve company processes and procedures
- Communicate with Taxing Agencies on behalf of clients
Lead the Tax Department:
- Oversee team technical training and work quality
- Establish and monitor department targets
- Manage your teams capacity and workflow
- Develop and revise procedures to enhance the tax preparation process, including but not limited to enhancing workpapers used to support the tax return.
- Conduct thorough research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Maintain Client Relationships:
- Responsible for maintaining client relationship by managing their expectations, responding to communications/emails, and hold yourself accountable to your commitments.
- Recommend other services that will benefit the client (bookkeeping, tax planning, payroll, etc).
- Work with clients to resolve complaints or quality issues
- Stay up-to-date with evolving tax laws and strategies (PTE Tax, ERC, New Tax Credits, etc)
Identify areas for improvement within the firm:
- Identify new opportunities for additional services that the firm can provide.
- Identify opportunities to improve communication within the firm to improve the client experience
- Identify technology that will help get the firm service clients better

Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university
- CPA Certification
- Experience with flow-through entities and multi-state tax returns
- 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with Ultratax and QuickBooks Preferred

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
