MetTel Communications is seeking an experienced Personnel Security Specialist to process employees for HSPD12 Public Trust/Suitability and with the knowledge and experience to process contractor and sub-contractor employees for USPS Sensitive Clearances.

Duties and Responsibilites:
- Work with Human Resources to obtain the candidate names who will process for HSPD12 Public Trust/Suitability.
- Initiate the HSPD12 process with the candidate who must complete an initial form.
- Password protect and upload the Contractor Information Worksheets to GSA/FAS who will initiate the process for employees to process for HSPD12 Public Trust/Suitability.
- Create reports and maintain records of public trust activity throughout the process.
- Follow-up with employees who are reaching the 30-calendar day timeline to have the process finished.
- Maintain an accurate roster or employees who received interim and final approvals for access to Federal GSA/MetTel
- Maintain a roster of employees who are still in the process periodically reaching to them for status.
- Work with employees who cannot use a shared facility for digital fingerprinting – send blank fingerprint cards with instructions on how to use and how to return to GSA Security using USPS Priority Mail.
- Notify the government upon termination of employment with MetTel
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of 5-years of experience in personnel security or a related field
- Knowledge of HSPD12 with experience processing contractors for HSPD12 Public Trust/Suitability
- Knowledge of federal security regulations and procedures
