Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to oversee our scientific research laboratory. The Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and CGMP standards, and leading a team of scientists and technicians.
Duties:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise scientific research projects
- Develop and implement laboratory protocols and procedures
- Conduct experiments and perform scientific analyses, including Western blot, DNA isolation, microscopy, and microbiology techniques
- Ensure accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results
- Manage laboratory resources, including equipment, supplies, and inventory
- Train and mentor laboratory staff on proper techniques and safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and quality control efforts
- Stay current with advancements in scientific research methodologies and technologies
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA regulations and CGMP standards
- Implement and maintain laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
Skills:
- Strong background in scientific research, with expertise in areas such as Western blot, microbiology, DNA isolation, and microscopy
- Proficient in laboratory techniques and methodologies
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and CGMP standards
- Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
