Quality Laboratory Manager Job Description
General
Incoa Performance Minerals is a calcium carbonate manufacturing company based near Mobile, AL. Our production facility is continuously expanding. We are looking for self-directed individuals willing to grow with us. Therefore, the ideal Quality Laboratory Manager candidate will perform the tasks required in the lab and more. We need an individual with a willingness to grow, learn and cross-train and add value in multiple areas. Reporting to the Site Quality Manager, the Quality Laboratory Manager will provide accurate and precise quality data for a fast-paced 24/7 operation in industrial minerals manufacturing. The key responsibility of this role is to supervise the INCOA Quality Laboratory Technicians to ensure product quality control and the daily operation of the Quality Laboratory
Responsibilities
§ Maintain and verify operation precision and accuracy of the INCOA Quality laboratory equipment
§ Release INCOA finished product to the customer by referencing specification limits
§ Manage the staffing and personnel in the INCOA Quality Laboratory
§ Manage inventory and budget of lab-required expendables
§ Performs and manages all activities to comply with Corporate Policies, Environmental, and Safety regulations

Qualifications
§ 5 plus years of experience working in a laboratory environment
§ Ability to perceive and analyze problems, develop alternatives and make or recommend sound decisions
§ Excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
§ Ability to communicate effectively to inform, motivate and present at various levels of the organization
§ Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
§ Knowledge and experience with computer software including Microsoft Office Excel and Word
§ Ability to perform physically demanding work such as moving and lifting equipment and standing for long periods of time
§ Experience in Manufacturing Quality Control and Quality Assurance
§ Knowledge of Standardization Practices for Quality Laboratories
Preferred
§ Bachelors of Science Degree or Equivalent Experience
§ Ability to create/write/develop reports
§ Experience working in an OSHA compliant facility
§ Experience in other areas of manufacturing, such as operations, shipping, packaging, logistics, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $66,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
