We are looking for a skilled restaurant Server, responsible for taking and delivering orders with a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences. As the face of our restaurant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patrons enjoy a memorable dining experience. Your primary tasks will include maintaining clean and organized tables upon guests' arrival, presenting menus, and expertly serving food and beverages. We're seeking individuals who possess both agility and a courteous demeanor, as you'll need to be quick on your feet, both literally and figuratively. Your ultimate objective is to deliver top-notch service that keeps our customers coming back for more.
Responsibilities:
- Set up restaurant tables with meticulous attention to sanitation and orderliness.
- Greet and attend to customers upon their arrival, providing a warm welcome.
- Offer assistance in selecting food and beverages by presenting the restaurant menus.
- Take accurate orders and efficiently serve them to the patrons.
- Be knowledgeable about the menu items and confidently make recommendations to complement customers' choices.
- Collaborate seamlessly with other restaurant servers, kitchen staff, and bartenders to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle any customer complaints or issues with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Process bills and accept payments from customers.
Skills:
- Proven experience as a restaurant server or waiter/waitress, showcasing your expertise in the field.
- Additional experience in basic bar tasks such as mixing drinks will be considered a valuable asset.
- Familiarity with various wines and experience in corking wines.
- Willingness to upsell to customers, enhancing their dining experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the restaurant's products, enabling you to make effective recommendations.
- Strong focus on cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
- Possess patience and a customer-oriented approach, ensuring guests feel valued and cared for.
- Excellent people skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Demonstrating responsibility and trustworthiness in all aspects of the role.
- A high school diploma is preferred.
