Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming shipments and verifying the accuracy of received materials.
Duties:
- Receive, inspect, and record shipments of goods
- Unload trucks and check for damaged or missing items
- Organize and store received items in designated areas
- Maintain accurate records of received goods in the warehouse management system
- Communicate with suppliers regarding any discrepancies or issues with shipments
- Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock counts
- Operate forklifts or reach trucks to move materials within the warehouse
Skills:
- Strong basic math skills for inventory management
- Ability to load and unload shipments safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is a plus
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving protocols
- Experience using warehouse management systems for tracking inventory
- Certification in operating forklifts or reach trucks is preferred
