Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ultrasonographer to join our medical team. As an Ultrasonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients. Your expertise in operating ultrasound equipment and interpreting images will play a crucial role in assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. All exams are GYN only.
Duties:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound waves
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions
- Position patients and equipment to obtain optimal images
- Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings to capture clear images
- Analyze images for quality and interpret findings
- Collaborate with physicians to provide accurate and timely reports of examination results
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and understanding imaging techniques
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to ultrasound imaging
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret images
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues with equipment
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent
- Current CPR certification
- Previous experience as an Ultrasonographer preferred but not required
