American Institute for Preventive Medicine is seeking a Freelance Health Coach to provide telephonic and video-based health coaching to wellness program participants through our behavior change programs. Both one-on-one and group-based coaching will be part of this role (all virtual).
Coaches assist participants in reaching goals related to tobacco cessation, weight management, nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, mental & emotional well-being, and more. Coaches also review health assessment results with participants and help them develop action plans to improve their well-being. Coaches work with participants at all stages of change, from those not sure if they are ready to change to those looking to maintain changes already made. Coaches make calls over the phone, using video chat, and in Zoom webinars.
Our ideal candidate also has experience presenting workshops (30-60 minutes) on various health and well-being topics.
This is a contingent independent contractor position with services to be based upon accepted coaching assignments and client workshop requests. It is estimated that the requested services will be 10-15 hours per week. We are seeking a freelance health coach with flexible availability between the hours of 9 AM – 5:30 PM ET, at least 4 days a week. We provide coaching to clients Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 9 PM ET, so opportunities may be available across this full span, based on client needs and coach interests. This is not a good fit if you are seeking W2 employee full-time status. Independent contractors are required to supply their own equipment and provide detailed invoicing for services rendered.
