Job Summary:
Line Cooks are a vital part of our culinary team. Line Cooks prepare our menu items to the Chef’s exact standards and specifications.
Daily Tasks and Projects:
- Preparation and stocking of kitchen
- Cooking menu items to exact specifications, weights, and quantities
- Cleaning and general maintenance of kitchen
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, production, and sanitation
- Maintain a positive, professional atmosphere
Job Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a line cook, or prep cook. Breakfast experience a plus.
- Understanding of cooking methods, equipment, ingredients, and procedures.
Required Education, Certification, or Experience:
- Culinary school diploma is not required
- Food Handlers Certification (within 30 days of employment)
- Kitchen or food experience
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds occasionally
Compensation and Benefits:
- $14 - 16 per hour, based on experience
- Opportunity to participate in company benefits (health, dental, vision, etc.) if 30-hour average over 6-month period
- Bonuses and raises available, based on meeting performance goals
Reports to: Shop Manager and Director of Culinary
FLSA status: Non-Exempt
