- The range provided is based on cost of living/geography and what we believe is reasonable in the market at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for annual bonus and annual merit increase, as well as long term compensation. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors.

How You'll Perform the Role
The EHS Support Specialist position is responsible for analytical, administrative, and reporting tasks required to support Corporate Environmental Health & Safety Department. This position will work with all Novolex locations globally to support EHS compliance and proactive stewardship programs. Additionally, this position will support corporate sustainability initiatives related to environmental management and assist with the Corporate EHS Audit Process and Assessment Program.
- Work as a key Team Member within Corporate EHS Department to identify areas for improvement, document and communicate suggestions to the Team, and implement approved improvements
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task and plan work priorities around deadlines
- Assist with record keeping and reports (Safety and Environmental) as assigned • Assist in maintaining EHS guidelines, procedures, and policies
- Able to tabulate information in a timely manner
- Able to develop charts and analyze trends
- Maintain EHS databases, external and internal systems
- Able to effectively communicate both safety and environmental training topics
- Maintain and file documentation needed for reporting to respective agencies
- Travel to off-site locations and team meetings, as required, up to 25%
- Responsible for creating a work environment that maintains confidentiality
- Create and manage effective relationships company-wide

What We Need From You
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or Safety related degree, or a combination of education and 3-5+ years of work-related experience desired
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) including a strong knowledge of Excel functionality, including reporting and analytical tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Have the ability to communicate with different levels of management
- Must possess a high degree of professionalism in handling confidential information
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
- Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, organizational and auditing skills required
- Ability to work independently
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a team environment among coworkers
- Bilingual or multi-lingual strongly preferred
