Summary (Position Description): The Controller has overall responsibility for all financial aspects of Operations and R&D activity in a growth environment. This is a key leadership position, reporting to the Managing Director.

Duties & Tasks:
- Active participant of the local leadership team in business decisions, strategic, and financial planning.
- Provide timely and accurate financial information, including required reporting to HQ and key business metrics. Develop annual proforma P&L analysis to guide strategic decision making and co-lead spend management initiatives alongside the Operations Manager.
- Establish and enforce sound financial controls and procedures.
- Generate timely and accurate forecast information.
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of the annual operating plan.
- Cash forecasting and liquidity reporting.
- Monitor and report all capital expenditure activity.
- Understand and educate local team on cost accounting methodologies as defined by Corporate Controlling team. Develop models to report different cost modeling scenarios. Solid experience in product cost and analysis within a manufacturing setting.
- Develop and continually monitor and update strategic business plans.
- Complete and adhere to all external and internal audit requirements.
- Assist Managing Director in developing appropriate costing criteria to determine custom and standard product pricing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
- Demonstrated history of driving process improvement and implementing enterprise resource planning software, i.e., SAP.
- Sound understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Advanced organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines is a must.
- Ability to design and implement solutions in a time and resource constrained environment.
- Ability to research, compile, analyze, interpret, and present data effectively.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Accounting or Finance, MBA desired, with at least 10 years’ experience in a progressive manufacturing environment.
- Solid experience in product cost and analysis.
- SAP or ERP experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Solid PC skills using Microsoft Office software (Specifically Microsoft Excel), as well as a working knowledge of general office equipment (photocopier, fax machine, phones.)
- Possess excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collectively with others within the organization.
- Ability to effectively meet and communicate with employees, the public and vendors.
- Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion and sound judgment.
Work Environment:
This job is performed in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; bend; stoop; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift up to 10 pounds.
