We are seeking a passionate, driven, and Experienced Credentialing Specialist!
Vivant Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a customer focused Credentialing Specialist that thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position is a remote position.
The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for managing the credentialing and re-credentialing process for healthcare providers. This role ensures that all providers meet the necessary qualifications, certifications, and licensures required to deliver quality care. The Credentialing Specialist coordinates with various departments and external agencies to verify credentials and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the credentialing and re-credentialing processes for all clinical staff.
- Collect, verify, and maintain all necessary documentation, such as licensures, certifications, education, training, and professional experience.
- Conduct primary source verification of provider credentials, including contacting educational institutions, licensing boards, and other relevant entities.
- Ensure that all verifications are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards, and state-specific requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and changes in credentialing requirements.
- Maintain accurate and organized credentialing files and databases.
- Ensure that all documentation is current, complete, and stored in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, department heads, and external agencies regarding credentialing status and requirements.
- Coordinate with the medical staff office, human resources, and other relevant departments to facilitate the credentialing process.

You Must Have:
- A High School Diploma
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in credentialing, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication, research, problem solving, multi-tasking and time management skills
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
- Detail oriented
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, department heads, and external agencies regarding credentialing status and requirements.
