We are a small non-profit looking for a enthusiastic and dependable person to join our team. This is a part-time position that includes travel to up to a four-county area.
This position requires the candidate to assist in increasing the visibility of the agency by working in cooperation with law enforcement agencies and municipal and district court personnel to provide training and information.
Provides advocacy services within the district and municipal courts of Baldwin, and surrounding counties for victims of domestic violence who are involved in the criminal and civil court process
Offers intervention through crisis counseling and by providing information and referrals.
Assist in manning the domestic violence shelter and 24-hour crisis line
Performs data collection, data entry, and monthly and quarterly reports
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred, at least two years of related direct services or victims services work considered; knowledge of the laws regarding family violence and of the criminal court system; experience in public speaking and training, and an understanding of issues of confidentiality.
A valid drivers license and proof of current automobile insurance is required. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Must be able to lift at least 20lbs.
