Job description
New Patient Scheduler is often the first contact a patient has of Capitol GI. In this role, you provide administrative support and coordination for aspects of patient care for both new and/or established patients. This role highlights features of customer service and administrative responsibilities.
Requirements
- Manage inbound referrals and track referral requests.
- Follow-up with primary care physician offices.
- Obtain patient demographic and insurance information.
- Pre-register new patients and schedule for consultation appointment.
- Ensures registration information is complete and accurate prior to patients appointment.
- Ensures insurance co-pays and eligibility are completed.
- Ensures all voicemails are followed-up within 48 hours.
- Answer multi-line phones in a timely manner.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information, maintain patient records, files and other correspondence.
- Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures; reporting compliance issues and recommended changes to Lead.
- Serves and protects the medical community by adhering to professional standards, medical group policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed..
Qualifications
- Customer service skills.
- Must possess the ability to multi-task and problem solve on the spot.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent phone etiquette.
- PC proficiency required.
- Ability to work productively and independently.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- Must have EPIC experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
