Position Overview
The Industrial Maintenance\ Electrician is responsible for the safe maintenance repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure maximum production quantity and quality while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.
The ideal candidate has a proven record of reliability, safety, and trustworthiness We desire a self-motivated individual that will work well within a small team. The ability to multitask and excellent communication skills are critical. This position is full-time, first shift, Monday - Friday. Some weekends and overtime work are expected as well as call-outs.
Essential Job Functions
- Install 480V services from 30A to 400A.
- Run EMT and rigid conduit (3/4" thru 4").
- Troubleshoot PLC Programming.
- Interpret electrical diagrams.
- Build electrical panels per electrical diagrams.
- Repair / replace various instruments.
- Troubleshoot electrical motors.
- Perform duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting skills and repair of production machines (480 VAC 3 phase, 240 VAC 3 phase, VFD/motor/control circuits, solid state relays, PLC).
- Plans the details and working procedures by determining replacement needs or new materials are required, and develops a logical approach to correct the problem
- Analyzes circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, and service or replace electrical and electronic devices
- Receives wiring diagrams, specifications, and instructions from supervisor covering emergency and scheduled repairs, installation, and electrical PM inspections work to be performed
- Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical theory statutory codes, properties of materials and principles of operations of electrical equipment
- Services electrical and electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components on circuits, power packs, motors, transformers, switches, and the fabrication and installation of conduit
- Fabricates parts if not commercially available, using machines and hand tools common to the trade
- Determines needs, analyzes, and make necessary running adjustments, repairs, and overhauls to electrical equipment
- Install and troubleshoot AC and DC Drives
- Mechanical Experiences a plus.
